It’s time for a holiday. I’m looking forward to spending two weeks in one of my favourite parts of the world, surrounded by water and woods and far away from any internet access. There’s mobile phone coverage, but only if I walk a little way up the rise and the wind is coming from the right direction. I’m ready for some escape from the barrage of constant communication that constitutes daily life.
Hoping to return refreshed and rejuvenated, ready to prepare for a busy autumn and the launch of Sisterwives. In the meantime, here’s a link to a guest post I wrote this week over at Strictly Writing, on dishwashers and writing houses and why I work for Arvon. Like Arvon, the place I’m going to fosters a sense of community, with everyone sharing meals and simple domestic tasks. It always has the effect of returning me to myself. I’ll be sure to take a notebook, though.
